water conservation, City and County of broomfield

At the City and County of Broomfield I was in charge of the annual water conservation effort (later renamed to water efficiency). This involved creating a number of graphics for use on social media pages as well as on our website.

The point of these images is to quickly give readers a description of the project, an image easy to associate with the project (e.g. a sprinkler running too much or a toilet), and give them a follow up action (going to Broomfield.org/SaveWater).

These graphics, importantly, followed brand standards, used brand logos, and were made to be ADA accessible. They were both made using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.

Our broomfield articles, city and county of broomfield

While at the City and County of Broomfield I wrote several articles for Our Broomfield, a local community magazine. These articles include:

Boards and Commissions, City and county of broomfield

Each year, the City and County of Broomfield looked for new members of the boards and commissions. This meant seeking out hundreds of applications across the city, which took a large public communications plan.

The graphic on the left would be used in newsletters, on social media, and often on rotating signs throughout the city.

Various health and wellness sites, cu boulder

Although websites are constantly changing, a few pages on the CU Boulder Health and Wellness site, including the Figueroa Family Wellness Suite, remain unchanged from my time at CU Boulder. I was a big part of choosing a clean, boxy look for rather complex health and wellness sites.

video advertisements, williston public school district #1

Ad 1: Non-perishable foods

This was a great opportunity to work with students at WPSD#1 and create something unique with the goal of going viral within the Williston community.

The absurdity of the non-perishable foods ad worked exceptionally well. With over 6,000 views in a town of 30,000 mostly elderly individuals, the ad raised awareness of the program and led to a sell-out crowd.

Ad 2: Garage Band

Garage Band was a new elective at Williston High School featuring a lot of students who were otherwise not involved in the school. Making this ad not only promoted the performance of a new program but also gave some shine to students who didn’t receive much, an ever-present goal of mine.

Athletic game cards, Williston Public school district #1

Inspired by college Instagram accounts, I took photos of games and made game cards promoting varsity events for Williston High School. By focusing on the student athletes and treating them like stars at a higher level, I inspired engagement and sharing across Instagram. These were made with the Adobe Creative Suite.
